A man was killed when his plane crashed Friday night nearly missing a foreclosed home in Lake Township. No one else was hurt, but local, state and federal investigators combed the scene for clues to the cause of the crash. Investigators said initially it appeared as though the pilot was trying to avoid hitting the house. But it, too, caught fire briefly.
